Our company was founded in Calabria, in the province of Crotone, and has operated for many years in the agri-food sector, producing both under its own brand and for third parties. We cater to a qualified clientele of significant national and international standing, and we export worldwide. Over the years, we have invested substantial human and economic resources in technological innovation to optimize production costs, adapting to ever-growing customer demands while ensuring competitiveness. Liotti is part of the “LIOTTI Group” industrial group, which has several locations and recently expanded into the province of Mantua with the acquisition of Olibar S.r.l., a company that has been a national leader in the single-serving sugar and condiment sachet sector since 1983. Last, but not least, is L’Enologica Liotti, which has been a distributor of oenological products for many years.

HISTORY

NOTHING HAPPENS BY CHANCE…

In the late 1980s, shares of a major citrus company were acquired, where President Mino Liotti served as General Manager for years. The extensive work carried out in symbiosis with the production manager of that facility ignited Mino Liotti’s passion for lemons and their derivatives, allowing him to become a commercial expert and develop excellent production and technical knowledge. Around that time, thanks to increasingly in-depth studies and knowledge of the properties of lemon, the therapeutic capacities of this citrus fruit and its relatives (bergamot, orange, clementine, tangerine), which Calabria produces, became widely known; the beneficial characteristics of these fruits fostered an increase in their consumption.

With the evident and constant collaboration of his wife Sondra, on June 27, 1994, with an order destined for Sweden, the first productions of lemon juice packaged in plastic “limoncini” began. Much ground was quickly covered in discovering new markets, and even today, the road ahead has no limits, in full respect of the innate entrepreneurial spirit that has always distinguished the founder. Over these thirty years, the evolutions have been endless; in 1998, LIOTTI S.p.A. branched off, and a new and important production facility was immediately started, with work concluding in 2001. All aesthetic aspects of the company were carefully considered with a particular architectural design that saw the factory roof built in an arch like a church, with a patio and tall trees in the center. The company, surrounded by well-kept greenery, covers approximately 15,000 square meters, of which about 4,000 square meters are covered.

At the turn of those years, thanks to the studies and knowledges even more deep about lemon proprieties the therapeutic abilities of the lemon and its relatives (bergamot, orange, clementine, mandarine) of which Calabria is producer spread favoring the increasing of consumptions. With the evident and constant cooperation of the wife Sondra the 27 of June in 1993, with an order for Sweden, the first production of lemon juice packaged in plastic lime was started. A long way has been covered quickly to the discover of new markets and nowaday the way to cover doesn’t have horizons, respecting the imprenditorial spirit that always contradistinguish Mino Liotti. In the course of this thirty years the evolutions have been endless; In 1998 LIOTTI S.p.A. has born and a new and more important factory gave course which works have been concluded in 2001. The whole Company estethic aspects have been cared very deeply with a particular architecture that realize the roof of the shed arched like a church and with a patio with tall trees in the centre. The Company, rounded by well cared green, has a superfice of 15.000 Mq of which 4.000 mq closed.

The LIOTTI company was founded with the production of LEMON JUICE, which remains its main product, despite having diversified its activity with the production of CONCENTRATED FRUIT JUICES, TOPPINGS, LIQUORS, and finally, SAUCES. Bottling is carried out with electronic and computer-controlled systems, while tanks and equipment are all strictly made of stainless steel.

The constant company growth means that investments in new machinery are ongoing, as are those to increase the workforce, which currently includes several sales figures, a highly specialized Quality Department, and an in-house Graphic and Research and Development Department, to provide clients with a complete service that can manage product creation based on market research, graphics, and packaging with professional methods. Olibar S.r.l., acquired by Liotti S.p.A. three years ago, after doubling its turnover, has also doubled its production and logistics spaces, moving to its current new owned headquarters in Bagnolo San Vito (MN).

The new Olibar structure operates with avant-garde implants, with an internal tipography for the copy of packaging of sugar, salt and spices. Single-dose condiments in sachets are nowaday the more requested references. Recently, important investiments have been mede for a further stick-pack implant, totally electronic and able to fit more then 500 sachets a day, as well as lines dedicated to the group of making in flow-pack with cutlery and papers.
